ANNOUNCEMENT:  2021 Rocky Swap Reopened

We are now awaiting final approval from QLD Heath of our COVID Safe plan.

The organisers of the Swap have been working with QLD Health to organise a COVID Safe plan and will be conducting the Rocky Swap 2021 in accordance with a COVID Safe plan in an effort to help ensure the safety of the site-holders, all the visitors and our volunteers.

Currently we have reopened the booking of sites, subject to the final approval by QLD Health.

NB: Further bookings in the Walter Piece Pavilion and the New Pavilion (i.e. the indoors section of the Schwarten Pavilion) are restricted at present until approval of the COVID Safe plan.

Note that all persons who enter the grounds must have a ticket, including each of the site-holders working on the stalls and all swappers/visitors.

As part of our COVID Safe plan, it is preferred that all attendants at the Rocky Swap purchase their tickets online.

We will have ticket booths at several of the entry gates of the Showgrounds if you are not able to do so.

Gate 2 remains the entry to the event for all site-holders.

From 1July, 2021 the on-line ticket sales will be available for all entrants to the Showgrounds for this year’s Rocky Swap, via a link which will be available on this website.

All persons entering the Showgrounds for the Rocky Swap must also complete checking in by use of the Check-in QLD QR code.

Welcome to the 2021 Rocky Swap

Welcome to the 1,100 site holders from as far away as Victoria.

This is the 24th swap and a special welcome to the swappers who have attended every year since 1997.

Welcome also to the treasure hunters from all over Central Queensland – Mackay, Emerald, Bundaberg, Yeppoon, and Rockhampton who all line up as early as 5.30am Saturday for a 6am start. 5 gates around the ground will be open all day.

Saturday breakfast is served at a number of stalls. Food, drinks, and expresso coffee will be available all day, with all profits going to local charities. The People’s bar will be open from 10am till 6pm. 200 volunteers man admission gates, food stalls, adminstration and set-up, and clean-up.

This involves members from various community, service & sporting groups, and the All Classic Motor Club of Central Queensland Inc.

Rocky Swap has been a success story since 1997 because of a fantastic working partnership between “Rotary Club of Rockhampton North Inc.” and “All Classic Motor Club of Central Queensland Inc.”. It shows community groups working hand in hand for the benefit of their community.
